It Was Their Awareness as To the Social Aspects of Music. The Institute Was Founded with The Sole Aim of Propagating and Popularizing the Cause of Indian Music. Since 1994 The Organization Spreads Its Circle by Providing A Methodological Guidance on Various Field of Culture Activities by Pandit Debasis Adhikary And Guru Sangeetshree Amit Kumar.

Guru Sangeetshree Amit Kumar Is A Well-Known Hindustani Classical Vocalist (Kirana & Banaras gharana), Consultant Musicologist, Celebrated Versatile Trainer, Music Director, and Composer (audio, video, cd, film, serial, album, ad-music). He was born in west bengal, India. comes from a family where music is a way of life.at the age of five he was first exposed to musical training by the guidance of his father Mr. Aloke ghosh .his early gurus Was Late Gokul Kr. Maity, Pt. Brajagopal Chakraborty, Pt. Sadananda ji, and Later on the all-time Great Guru Sangeetacharya Pandit Dinanath Mishra, Sangeetacharya Pandit Goutam Roy (Disciple of Bharatratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and Ustad Amir khan),Acharya Nihar Ranjan Banerjee, Renown singer & composer sri Jatileshwar Mukherjee and Music Director Swapan Chakraborty(Mumbai). Guruji is gifted with a voice that has an amazing range and ultimate sweetness. Despite having such pure classical taaleem in the Khayal Genre, he also renders lighter forms such as Thumri, Tappa, Bhajan, Dadra , Rabindra Sangeet, Film/ non film and modern songs. he received training of the highest order in two distinct prominent Gharanas Kirana and Banaras. Gurujis blessed and gifted ability to blend the two gayakees brilliantly. he did his academic study in the stream of commerce and later he completed M.Mus. in vocal music as first class (Gold medallist) in one of them at the age 22 years. He also got Sangeet Bhushan, Visahrad, Bhaskar, Sangit Prabhakar & Pravin. He became the board member and all subject examiner of P.S.S(Allahabad), P.K.K(Chandigarh), B.S.K.(Kolkata) And Founder Cum President of Sangeetshree Amit Kumar Music Academy Kolkata. A Number of gurujis students have already earned fame in different parts of the country. Guruji believe that even though he has not taken any direct taaleem from them, Such Gurus have always been there to guide him and give their blessings and their eminent Musicians like Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Ravishankar ji, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb, Ustad Amir Khan, Ustad Vilayat Khan, Ustad Jakir Hussain, Hemanta Mukherjee, Manna Dey, Sandhya Mukherjee, Aarati Mukherjee, Md.
